The official race start of the Volvo Ocean Race 2017-18 takes place today at 14:00 local time in Alicante, Spain.
The 1st Leg is a sprint from Alicante to Lisbon - 1,450nm of pure action, with the teams doing their best to get some points on the board at the beginning of the race.
This great adventure has just began and it lasts 9 months! Going through the toughest conditions at sea. Our favorite teams have been working hard and are ready to go!
